“Through My Eyes” NFT Exhibition

“Marine Metamorphosis” will be presented at the new exhibition curated and held by DoinGud NFT marketplace.

“Oceans cover two-thirds of Earth’s surface and support a dazzling diversity of life forms. Uneven surfaces, shiny textures, and round geometric forms represent the astonishing evolution of marine species and the infinity of water circulation on the Earth.”

Dasha Wagner

Several artists from around the world were selected to share views of their realities and reflections of who they are through their preferred methods of self-expression. This exhibition is intended as a positive gathering of creators dedicated to generating change by leveraging the possibilities new technologies enable for responsible creation and consumption.

“Through My Eyes” NFT exhibition is a part of the “17SDGs” project, which is organized by DoinGud NFT marketplace and brings together 17 diverse creator communities from all over the world to support each of the United Nations 17 Sustainable Development Goals. While the SDGs are in place to radically improve all aspects of human life on this planet, this exhibition is focusing on making a difference, one creation at a time.

A single edition of this artwork will be available for purchase May 4-10, 2022. Part of the proceeds will help to support SEE Turtles initiatives and programs. SEE Turtles is a non-profit organization which helps sea turtles by supporting important nesting beaches around the world, working with the tourism industry to end the turtleshell trade, getting plastic out of sea turtle habitats, and promoting inclusivity in the turtle community.

New NFT collection aimed to preserve the beauty of marine ecosystem

Oceans cover two-thirds of Earth’s surface and support a dazzling diversity of life forms. That’s why it is very important to protect marine ecosystems from the impacts of people and climate change. The new collection of digital artworks created by Dasha Wagner in 2021 is titled “De Mari”, which means “from the sea” in Latin. It is now available for purchase on one of the rapidly growing NFT platforms, called DoinGud. With the primary focus on inspiring creativity and positive social impact, DoinGud utilizes a built-in donation model whereby a portion of every NFT sale is automatically donated to a vetted social impact organization of a creator’s choice. Being an environmentally-conscious company, DoinGud runs on the Polygon network trying to make all blockchain operations sustainable and reduce the carbon footprint.

All artworks from “De Mari” collection reveal a sophisticated combination of simple geometric forms and the natural beauty of marine plants and textures. Part of the proceeds will help to support Ocean Defenders Alliance initiatives to remove derelict fishing nets, traps, plastic, and other man-made debris threatening ocean wildlife and habitats.

Ars Electronica 2021

This year’s Ars Electronica 2021 festival theme is called “A New Digital Deal”. It encourages us to re-think the foundations of our computerized world. The “Ethno Zoom” animation created by Dasha Wagner will be presented at this global event focused on art, technology, and society. The festival will take place September 8-12 in Linz (Austria) and will include exhibitions, concerts, talks, conferences, workshops, and guided tours.

Inspired by traditional ethnographic motifs created by ancient American civilizations, this animation shows a modern twist by blending bright colors with black & white graphics.
