THE STORY
The International Poster Design Biennial, sponsored by Terras Gauda Wineries, is one of the most prestigious graphic design competitions in the world. Since 2001, more than 20,000 artists and designers from 100 countries worldwide have participated in multiple exhibitions organized by Terras Gauda and the Vigo Port Authority.

The Galicia Tourism Bureau believes that the Terras Gouda Poster Design Biennial is an excellent opportunity to promote wine tourism, as well as tourism in general, in the Galicia region. 

THE CREATIVE TASK
The challenge was to create a poster that encapsulates the essence of the white Terras Gauda O’Rosal wine. An artwork should not only be visually appealing but also versatile for various applications, from print to digital media. It is not only the celebration of artistic talent but also a fulfillment of the gap between art and commercial branding by highlighting the role of digital art in marketing and brand identity. Ideally, the poster should also reflect the natural and cultural heritage of the region. 

THE APPROACH
Each of the elements in this composition has been inspired by the marine life and historical landmarks of the Galicia region. Fantastic flowers, corals, and seaweed represent the whimsical complexity of Baroque architecture, as well as the variety of species in the local ecosystem. 

THE RESULT
This poster can be successfully adapted for a print advertising campaign, as well as in digital marketing through applying animation/augmented reality elements.
